Rotary Sleigh 2021

As published in the Focus the South Woodham Ferrers Rotary Sleigh is back this year. We have had to change the way in which we will cover the town.

We have set out the following routes and respective dates. (Note if the weather is poor we do have a reserve night so we don’t disappoint anyone)

There will be specific stopping points on route where it will stay for everyone to come out and see Santa. This year so everyone can see where the sleigh is en-route we have fitted a tracker so you can monitor its progress via a web link. The link will be issued prior to the commencement of its route round the town.

When you click the link you should be able to see the sleigh as displayed on the picture below.

Click on the link below and it will show you the route will be on that night with start times.

December 6 Route 1 Starting Point - The Chase

December 7 Route 2 Starting Point - Ferrers Road

December 8 Route 3 Starting Point - Collingwood School

December 9 Route 4 Starting Point - Withy Windle Care Home

December 10 The sleigh will be at Champions Manor Hall from

                      5 30pm to 7.00pm.

The sleigh will be outside Sainsbury’s 10, 11 & 12 December and outside Asda 17, 18 &19 December.

On the day of each route a member of the club will be tracking the sleigh. The route for each day will be posted on Facebook that morning with a contact number if anyone who can’t access the route via the link.

Please note the link will be live from 5.30pm to 8.30pm each day.

We hope you can support this year’s sleigh as monies raised will go towards local charities and benefit the local community.

There are 3 ways to donate.

Traditional cash or via the contactless payment reader or by the QR code which will be available to scan with your mobile phone.

If you wish to donate now please follow the link to our Just Giving on this website.

This is the first time we have had to undertake this change. Please bear with us and if we have to make further changes we will let everyone know through our Facebook page and the various Group Facebook pages in the town.

Members of the club would like to thank everyone in the town for your on-going support.
