South Woodham Ferrers responds to the need for aid in Haiti
South Woodham Ferrers Rotary Club has joined in to help Rotary International to give aid to the people of Haiti by sending Shelter boxes.

As the residents of South Woodham Ferrers have responded very generously in the past to our call for help, we asked the town to help us again.
Asda allowed the Rotary Club, Inner Wheel & wives of Rotary to collect outside ASDA on Saturday 9am until 4pm for which we give thanks to all concerned.
The result was a collection of a very generous £1765.48 which when added to the Clubs own donation of £500 will provide 5 shelter boxes for those who are now homeless. One shelter box contains a tent, clothing, water sterilising tables, blankets & cooking equipment for 10 people.
The Rotary Club would like to thank the residents of this town for their generous contributions the boxes are already on a plane flying to Haiti.
