Charities for the Year
For Sight we will be supporting Vision Aid Overseas
Sound - Hearing Dogs for the Deaf
Taste - Water Aid
Smell - Essex Autistic Society Sensory Room at Doucecroft School
Touch - Little Haven and Fairleigh Hospices
Program of Events
Our sponsorship money at the Rotary Swimarathon and our individual collection boxes to collect 5p coins (Gimme Five campaign) will be used for the hospices (assuming Rotary will be including these charities for the Swimarathon)
The other charities will be supported through our fund raising efforts throughout the year - Firework Night, Christmas Sleigh etc. We also hope to raise money through a Summer Garden Party, stalls at bootsales and a few other ideas
We hope to have a varied program for our meetings during the year. We will be inviting representatives from Vision Aid Overseas and Essex Autistic Society to talk to us about their charities.
We will also be having an Italian Night, Call my Bluff evening, Quiz, Christmas Meal and a trip to Hylands House amongst other things!
Plans that include partners involve a summer BBQ at my house 10 August, Social gatherings at the homes of Sheila and Sylvia (dates tba) and an open house for Xmas Drinks and nibbles, again at my house on Sunday 16 December
